Course Description
Goal is to orient the medical student in diagnostic radiology. Most of the time will be spent in day-to-day film observation, sitting with the radiologist-and-or resident during film interpretations. There is also a film teaching file library, which correlates the films with a clinical history. There are radiology conferences per week at either the Princeton campus or the Trinity Campus and two pathology/radiology joint conferences per month. There is also opportunity to observe special procedures, such as coronary angiography, a variety of other angiographic procedures (cerebral, renal, visceral, etc.) and procedures with the 64 slice CT scanner and MRI equipment. Written appraisal will be given by the faculty as to basic knowledge, skills and ability to relate to individuals. This elective is not offered during these times: month of June, one week before Christmas and the week after Christmas. 1. Professional attire is required 2. Students must wear white lab coat with student ID when in the hospital 3. Students must report to Mrs. Tricia Logan each day 4. Students have computer or internet access in the medical library
