Course Description
This elective is offered for medical students who are interested in learning the indications, fundamentals, and follow-up of angiographic and interventional radiologic procedures. The student will spend part of the day in the angiographic and interventional radiology laboratory observing and helping with procedures. The student will also spend time on the wards helping with the pre-procedure workup of patients and with follow-up. During this elective there will be ample close interaction with residents, fellows, and radiology faculty of the section of angiography and interventional radiology. A teaching museum of case material and pertinent reading lists are available.
