Biographical Sketch 
I attended the University of Georgia as an undergraduate and went on to study medicine at the Medical College of Georgia. I am a pathologist trained in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Alabama, with two years of fellowship experience including a year of surgical pathology fellowship as well as a year of training in gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary pathology. I also serve as staff anatomic pathologist for the Birmingham Veteran's Administration Medical Center.

Title
Description
I am interested in studying the multifactorial issues underlying racial disparity in liver disease outcomes. Particularly, I am interested in the the possible molecular basis for disparities in the evolution of chronic liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma. I also hold a general interest in GI pathology and GU pathology
