Biographical Sketch
Dr. Quenelle’s research interests involve animal models of human infectious diseases, particularly for efficacy testing of novel compounds and immunotherapies. She received her B.S., M.S., D.V.M., and Ph.D. from Auburn University. She has published over 40 manuscripts using animal models of human herpes viruses, orthopox viruses, tuberculosis, and HIV.

Research/Clinical Interest
Title
Description
Currently, Dr. Quenelle manages the NIH, NIAID AO1 Task Order “Mouse and Guinea Pig Models for Herpesvirus” at UAB which tests new antiviral therapies in rodent models using HSV-1, HSV-2, and CMV infections. She also conducts investigations for private sponsors using similar models.
