Biographical Sketch 
Dr. Vaughan is originally from Birmingham. He attended the University of Minnesota and completed a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics. He returned home to UAB to complete an adult endocrinology fellowship and became faculty in 2006. He is currently the medical director of the Neurosurgical Pituitary Disorders Clinic which sees hundreds of patients yearly with pituitary disease. He has conducted clinical trials in acromegaly, Cushing’s disease and growth hormone deficiency. He also sees patients at the Birmingham VA medical center, and is highly involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
