Biographical Sketch 
Dr. Robert T. Russell, M.D., M.P.H., joined the faculty of UAB's Department of Surgery at Children's of Alabama in 2012, after completing his Pediatric Surgery Fellowship at Indiana University, Riley Hospital. He serves on several administrative committees at Children's Hospital including the Quality Improvement Council. His clinical and research interests involve general pediatric surgery, especially pediatric trauma and care for the critically ill child. His area of knowledge and expertise also includes; liver transplantation, hepato-pancrea-biliary surgeries, extraction of esophageal foriegn bodies in children, esophageal replacement.
