Biographical Sketch 
Dr. Passman joined the UAB Department of Surgery as an Associate Professor of Surgery on July 1, 2006. He is an American Board of Surgery diplomate in general and vascular surgery and practices the full spectrum of arterial and venous surgery. He is also the Director of the UAB Vein Program which provides inpatient and outpatient care to patients with a range of venous problems. He has authored numerous journal articles and book chapters and is on the editorial board for the Journal of Vascular Surgery. He is also involved in several national medical societies, holding executive committee positions in the Peripheral Vascular Society, and the American Venous Forum, and the Society for Vascular Surgery.
