Biographical Sketch 
Dr. Cribbs grew up in North Carolina and attended college at Appalachian State University. He received a Master's of Science from UNC-Chapel Hill and attended medical school at The Brody School of Medicine at ECU. Dr. Cribbs completed residency in combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX and Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at Vanderbilt University. He was the Schooler Family Fellow in Adult Congenital Heart Disease at The Ohio State University and Nationwide Children's Hospital before accepting the position as director of the Alabama Adult Congenital Heart Program here at UAB and Children's of Alabama. Dr. Cribbs has published on several defects commonly encountered in the adult congenital population, including coarctation of the aorta and atrial septal defect. His research interests include pregnancy in women with congenital heart disease and palliated single-ventricle heart disease.
