Biographical Sketch 
A cum laude graduate of Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, Dr. Patterson received his MD degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He completed a general surgery residency at UAB, where he served as administrative chief resident.

Description
His clinical interests include endovascular surgical techniques, improving long-term performance of lower extremity bypass grafts, the application of duplex ultrasonography to peripheral vascular surgery, and the identification and management of prosthetic-related vascular graft infections.
